What is an NFT (Non-Fungible Token)?

A Non-Fungible Token or NFT is an entry in a public (blockchain) database with properties such as (but not limited to) timestamp, owner, name, description, or link to media. Such properties are often used to describe a digital asset. In most blockchain databases, entries are referred to as "Tokens".

As a result, we may define an NFT as a Digital Token representing an Asset

The asset may be a membership pass, a photo, a video, an image, code, diploma, title ...
